celebrating my birthday at Tagaytay

Tagaytay was been my favorite nearby place so Pie and I decided to have our breakfast and lunch here in our favorite place.

Bag of Beans

Bag of Beans is the coffee place to be in Tagaytay. A small cafe located just after the Tagaytay Public at 3650 Aguinaldo Highway, Mendez Crossing West, Tagaytay City. Here you will find the most expensive coffee that is proudly Philippines made! What makes this amazingly expensive is that the coffee beans are digested by the Philippine civet (a cat) which ferments the coffee beans and excreted as whole beans. If you did not get that, these are beans harvested in the civets waste by farmers in the wild forrest. It became known when it was tasted by Oprah who was surprised to know about the origins of this delicious coffee.

We are fond of the rich strong taste of the Baraco Blend. On every trip, together with hot chocolate and blueberry cheesecake. A bit of variety is always good.

Bag of Beans also their own Arabica Robusta Blend for Php235.20 for a 500 gram bag but for cheaper Coffee alamid it is also available at Aling Maria - a small pasalubong store known for their buko pie and cassava cake which is for 400 pesos one small plastic jar.

This is the escapade that I truly enjoy because we get to go some other place far from the polluted and congested city of Makati and Rizal.
